Dawn (go Away) was the first big hit by the 4 Seasons on Philips label. They had a string of hits on Vee-Jay and then moved to Philips. Usually a label switch means disaster or in other words a new and different sound. But that was not the case because the string of hits just kept coming. This album had the bid hit plus some great covers/5(10).

After launching their tenure on Philips Records with the folk collection Born to Wander, the Four Seasons returned only one month later with a pop album patterned after their earlier Vee Jay LPs, which is to say a set of doo wop covers filling out an album keyed to a current hit single. In this case, the hit was "Dawn (Go Away)," which would have been a number one hit if it hadn't .
